My lovely Bongo is ready for borrowing for a trip!
It’s super comfortable to drive, to sit in as a passenger and to sleep.
It’s not fitted with lots of fittings which makes the bed more spacious and comfy. It sleeps two comfortably on the bottom and the purple pop up roof can be left open (when stationary) for head room so you can stand up when in the camper or to add another storey! So you then have a two-man tent on the top too! There are only two seats with seat belts (at the front of the vehicles, including the driver's seat). It’s an automatic, petrol van and it costs about £60 to fill the tank with unleaded petrol (from my experience driving it). It has a little fridge and usb charging points for your phone. Instead of charging the fridge you could charge your laptop. These are charged by the leisure battery, which is itself charged by a solar panel on the roof of the van and the engine, so I switch everything off overnight to ensure there are no issues with starting the van up the next morning so you will need to do the same. Electric blinds and curtains means that you’re all cosy inside the van for sleeping and changing. The handmade structure inside converts from sofa to a double bed. There is a little table inside and I have a camping chair and camping stool that you’re welcome to borrow too. Please bring your own linen and towels but I am happy to provide pillows and a duvet. There is plenty of storage for your belongings under the sofa/bed. This is a lovely albeit very old van so I am renting this out mostly for local trips so that I don't have too much wear and tear on it; I am based in London so trips to the beach East or on the South coast, or maybe the Cotswolds if you fancied going further away so ideally up to 300 miles round trip. It drives perfectly but is a little noisy and needs to be driven with kindness but I have never had any issues driving it, it has recently passed its MOT, is of course insured and taxed. You will just need to pay for your insurance yourself for the days you rent it; Goboony recommend Day Insure on their website and they will soon offer their own insurance as well. I will handover a clean van with a full tank so please return it in the same way. Any questions then please ask :-)

I rented Bongo for a second time in as many weeks, the perfect getaway vehicle for a short stint down to the coast or just to clear the head from the London air. Really don't have a bad word to say about bongo, super easy to drive very intuitive, the mini fridge is a dream for keeping picnic supplies fresh and the pop tent makes the van feel twice as big when parking up for the night. As always Amy was super helpful and really generous to allow us to borrow her beloved bongo even allowing us to collect early in the morning before starting work allowing us to get the most out of our trip. We drove down to Brighton and then camped in some lovely small campsites in the south downs. Perfectly comfortable and perfectly flexible holiday experience if you're not entirely sure what you want to do. Go Bongo Go! June 2021
Bongo is a dream! Packed with character, great to drive and super comfortable with the tent up or not. Amy was a pleasure to book with and was really helpful throughout the whole booking processes making my first Goboony experience seem-less. So good was my first experience booking Bong with Amy I booked to borrow her beloved Bongo a week later! Couldn't recommend Bongo and Amy more and will for sure be sharing my experience with friends and family June 2021
I had a great weekend in Amy's Bongo. Really easy to drive, comfy bed and cosy inside. Amy was very considerate, giving me a detailed tour of the van beforehand, and was very responsive during my trip. Would highly recommend. May 2021
