Well equipped VW T5 long wheelbase! – Unique and beautifully / professionally built.

We have owned our long wheelbase T5 campervan since 2018. She was Lovingly built by Ben at Expedition Campers (who never builds two the same!). It is incredibly well appointed, unique in its style, luxurious, well fitted out, warm, cosy and reliable. Since buying it I have added additional lights, a night heater ( diesel) and additional battery capacity for those long wild camping trips. All the fittings are high end. She is equipped with Dometic fridge, hob, grill and sink.

The sink is piped to a 15 litre water tank filled externally...(no Jerry can type systems in this camper). The tap is electric. It is fitted with a Dometic wind out awning for those sunny days.

Internally it has a rock and roll bed that has a really thick mattress fitted, rotational front passenger seat and a clip on table.

For 'off grid' I have added additional battery capacity to give easily three days of power without running her up or plugging in to the mains ( solar panels are great....when the sun shines....I'd sooner have more batteries and no solar ?) and a diesel night heater with its own tank fitted under the bonnet for easy access.

I have added additional safety aids -

- All the tools needed to deal easily with a puncture!
- first aid kit
- CO meter/ alarm
- fire extinguisher

The spare wheel is genuine VW and unlike most vans, actually matches the ones on the vehicle. It is fully kitted out with cutlery and crockery, all the necessary glasses and bits and pieces needed for a trouble free expedition. She comes with levelling ramps, an electric fan heater if using hook up, a diesel heater if off grid, a collapsible bucket for grey water, a collapsible washing bowel and cleaning equipment; dustpan & brush etc.

For a small additional hire charge we can supply -
- portaloo with chemicals
- a tow bar mounted double bike carrier with built in lights
- drive away awning
- Awning carpet

The camper has as standard two folding chairs, a pack away picnic table, foldaway firepit and two sets of window blinds, one thermal set and one blackout. Our van has a fully waterproofed canvas pop top with three windows and ventilation strip with an additional sleeping area in the pop up including inbuilt mattress suitable for two small children or one adult. It is fitted with ample mains outlets, has a good long mains hook up cable and USB charger points. The lighting is touch control LED and 2 flexible reading lamps have been fitted over the bed area. Being a long wheelbase you benefit from extra room and storage space. The cab has a sat nav fitted and touch screen audio system with Bluetooth and hands free capabilities. The engine has been professionally re mapped to increase torque and give better fuel consumption.

This is not a cheap and nasty home conversion full of bling, painted like a rainbow T5 - it is a professionally built camper, understated, maintained to a high standard and designed to do what it is meant to do with minimum fuss and maximum ability.
